Congratulations to JD Board Member, Angie Upton

We would like to recognize one of our board members, Angie Upton, for her nomination as one of the 25 Black Leaders to watch by Soul News Network in the area of Black Enterprise Entrepreneurs. Angie owns The Loc Shop, a successful business in our neighborhood on the corner of Park Avenue and Church Street which specializes in hair, but offers so much more.  In addition to serving on the board, Angie also serves on the Neighborhood Organizing Committee.  Congratulations, Angie!

The Coronado Haskell Resident Leadership, welcomes all residents of the Coronado Haskell area to partake in a neighborhood rebuilding workshop. We will be serving dinner, and free childcare while you meet your neighbors, and learn how to make the place you live, your dream neighborhood. How cool is that? We will give you the tools necessary to complete any changes you could imagine in your neighborhood, while providing all necessities to make this rebuilding workshop easy and fun! Come to our first meeting on October 13th at 5:45 PM. The meeting is located at your local Community Action Agency 555 N Court Street #301 in Rockford, Illinois. Let us have dinner together, and find out information to make the Coronado Haskell Neighborhood a success. You don’t want to miss this!
